Leaving Home

Well today we are starting our journey..Our plane leaves at 2:05 from Orlando...I am really starting to get excited. We have our first meeting with DIF, the childrens services in Juarez Mexico , on Monday at 1pm. We will arrive in El Paso at 7:35pm. Our good friend John from International family ministrys, will be picking us at the airport and taking us to his house for the first few days. Please keep us in your prayers to have grace in our meeting on Monday. We PRAY to get to see Sandra soon.. It has been a year since we have been able to see her..It seems that once you start your adoption you are not allowed to visit until certain papers are complete. Once I figure out what these are I will be sure to let you know so that if anyone else is trying this you wont have this same problem. I am pretty sure that it is the package that DIF wants and something from uscis. I have been told just recently that the childrens services here in Juarez works differently that any other place in Mexico. SO the next few days will tell... One hightlight for today is that we are meeting with Beth Cheek, our caseworker with Gladney Center for Adoption, at the Dallas airport for Dinner during our layover. This will be our first meeting face to face since we started this months ago..We have been in constant contact by e-mail and phone, and could never have come this far without her..I am very excited to see the face behind all the letters and meet this wonderful person...I will close out for now and look forward to sharing our trip with everyone...Please remember us in your prayers ...
